5) A personal challenge
6) My hero
You will present for 3-5 minutes
Remember to be creative :) You can present in any manner of your choice
Each group will have 4 vocabulary words that they must use
The group with the highest number of points will get a prize.
The breakdown of points:
1) Creativity/originality- 5 pts
2) Clarity (being clear) 5 pts
3) Grammar- 2.5 pts
4) Vocabulary 10 ( 1 pt for usage, 2 pts for correct usage)

In groups of three, you will create your own blog website, using Blogger.com, WordPress, or Tumblr
1)You will use visuals and text to create a personal blog that expresses a strong opinion about a subject of your choice. (you can use many sites for images, including creativecommons.org)
2) You will either rant (like Johnny, on page 195, or Eve in yesterday's link) about something you dislike, are annoyed by, or are frustrated by
or rave (choose something that you love, are interested in, or enthusiastic about, and want to share)
3) You can do as many postings as you wish (one long one, three short ones)
4) The subject will be your choice, but you must remember to use your five assigned vocabulary words

Friday's Presentation- a tourism brochure
1) Choose a city with a large immigrant population (a multicultural city like Toronto)
2) Give us a bit of background information about your city: For example: Size of the city, its location, major tourist attractions, official language spoken, etc
3) Focus on, and research three immigrant communities that live there
Find out which part of the city they live in, where their restaurants are (what they eat, what they wear, etc)
4) Make a brochure advertising the multicultural aspects of your city, and present it to the class on Friday.
You can use images from the magazines in our classroom.
5) Make sure to include your five vocabulary words in your brochure and in your presentation
